ABOUT

Miles Lauridsen is a Visual Effects artist and supervisor, based in Vancouver, BC. Originally from Clatskanie, Oregon, he has spent nearly two decades crafting compelling VFX for feature films, TV series, and high-profile studio projects. His film career began in 2006 as a “dustbuster” at Pacific Title & Arts Studio, digitally cleaning film frames to prepare them for VFX and DI work, an experience he credits as his foundational film education. Across his career, he has contributed to a slate of standout films including First Man, Blade Runner 2049, The Batman, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and Gemini Man. He earned VES Award nominations for Outstanding Compositing in a Photoreal Feature for Blade Runner 2049 (2018, “LAPD Approach and Joi Holograms”) and First Man (2019). A thoughtful problem‑solver, he tackles challenges by distilling complexity into clear, simple steps before building deeper solutions. He combines high‑end compositing expertise with a disciplined, simplicity driven, problem-solving style, leading global 2D teams with clarity, creativity, and a steady vision.
